How it all started...
The Fish Hill Fire Company was formed on September 18, 1957, after a catastrophic fire at the Fish Hill Farm destroyed a barn, livestock, and crop fields. The small rural community decided that it was time to form an official fire department. A 1949 Dodge Power Wagon military vehicle was donated through a military surplus program and a small 100 GPM pump and 250 gallon water tank were added. The Dodge Power Wagon was designated as Engine 30 and was stored in the new barn at the Fish Hill Farm. It is currently undergoing restoration to be used for parades and other public events.
